I've been spending the past few years researching the various substrates available to paint on - canvas (cotton, linen, how fine or rough, type of finish), wooden board (type of wood, finish to apply), or metal (copper, aluminum, even steel, and again, type of finish), and I can finally say I believe I have made my decision. I’m sanding a precut ACM panel with a palm sander, but just elbow grease and sandpaper will do the trick too. Be sure to gear up! I wipe the boards down after sanding wth alcohol to remove any grease or dust.
